Never thought I'd start writing a blog, I prefer to write articles for reference. However with the charity bike ride I realised I need some method for posting time relevant information, so I'll give it go and see where it takes me.

We made it - part one

Yes I made it, completing 170 miles of cycling over 2 days. I had a great ride and a memorable experience.

Bala Bike Ride

A long weekend camping at Bala, Wales meant this Friday's bike ride was a solo effort with a few more hills than the Fylde.

Second Training ride

Down to 6 stalwarts this week, but the weather was kind to us and we clocked up 40 enjoyable miles this week on a slightly meandering route.

First training ride

On Friday 7 enthusiastic cyclists met at the Lightning club for a ride out to get a bit of practice for the Coningsby bike ride. After 30 miles of cycling around the Fylde in glorious sunshine we were back where we started, but I still had to cycle home!

Cycling 175 miles Warton to Coningsby

As if I didn't have enough to do I've foolishly put my name down for a 175 mile charity cycle ride from Warton to Coningsby. So I've launched this journal to keep a record of my efforts to meet this challenge.
