Gymmark
GymMark is British Gymnastic's club accreditation scheme that recognises the quality of the club. The key phrase for BG is ”safe, effective and child-friendly”.The benefits of GymMark include:
- Able to demonstrate that we have addressed issues such as equality and child protection which gives confidence to parents choosing the club for their children.
- Developing your club – the foundation for any club is its youth structure. So, by encouraging and attracting young members, you are building a strong future for our club. GymMark provides an excellent template for continuing club development.
- Developing our coaches, officials and volunteers – as part of GymMark, we are given help and advice in developing the skills of everyone involved in our club.
BG has adopted five modules based on set criteria through which clubs can realise
GymMark. These are:
- Development
- Training and Events Programme
- Duty of Care and Child Protection
- Sports Equity and Ethics
- Administration
