First Aid training
The club has just run a sucessful first aid training course courtesy of British Red Cross, Preston. This has allowed committee members and volunteers to either renew their training or gain their first aid qualifications. The course was assessed and all sucessful candidates were awarded a small credit card sized qualifiaction by British Red Cross, valid for the next three years.

The course was very productive and tailored to the type of injuries that might occur with trampolining. Although the person shall remain nameless one incident deserves a mention. The training explained that when dealing with any incident that you should first consider any dangers to yourself. Part of the assessment involved role play, the incident involved a rather large kitchen knife. Now on entering the scene everyone saw the knife as a danger as the "victim" was still wielding it. Now most people carefully asked the "victim" to put down the knife before treatment could start. All except one person, who strode into the incident, saw the knife and immeadiately took it from her saying "I'll take that".
All our thanks to British Red Cross for the training course, it was an enjoyable and rewarding course.
